Caren Lorber has designed and delivered four excellent hands-on workshops for Older Adults over the course of the last year at the JCCSF. Caren has great expertise and passion for art; her excitement and energy enliven participants. She energizes those who have little or no experience in creating art, be they individuals with memory loss, those with limited English speaking skills or those with physical limitations. She provides patient and easy to follow instructions and individual assistance as well as a pat on the back. Caren understands her audience and gets them deeply involved while creating a fun and supportive environment.

Over the 5 weeks not only was a beautiful piece of collaborative art produced, but the girls in the group were able to bond and grow in a meaningful way through the project. It was Caren’s vision, leadership and talent that made this project possible.
